Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, the anti-apartheid campaigner and former first lady of South Africa, has died.

The activist and wife of former president of South Africa's first African president ( Nelson Mandela), Mrs. Winnie Mandela died today on Monday afternoon at the age of 81 in Johannesburg, where his assistant Zodwa Zwane confirmed the statement.
